    Akita Health Registry database

    Created and conceived by Rex Orrin (UK) and available to people free of charge. A hyperlinked five-generation pedigree can be created for any Akita registered with AKC that has sired or whelped an AKC registered litter. Pedigrees can also be created for many dogs located in many countries outside the USA. There were 50,000 Akitas entered in this database as of August 2002.

    American Kennel Club (AKC)

    The AKC website www.akc.org has an online store where you may purchase a four generation pedigree for $8.00 or a five generation pedigree for $10.00, a certified hard copy AKC printed pedigree cost $32.00 and $35.00 each.
    The AKC stud book, single month issues, effective Jan. 2000, of the AKC online stud book may be purchased through 'Dog Reports' section. Prior to Jan. 2000 hard copy versions of the AKC stud book register are available to researchers at the AKC Library in New York City and at many libraries in the USA.
